The Philadelphia Housing Authority, a leader in residential property management, is seeking Asset Managers/Property Managers for possible future openings. Responsibilities include the ability to manage the activities of staff responsible for determining applicant eligibility and tenant compliance within the Authority’s Section 8 leasing and rental program; plan, assign, coordinate, review and evaluate the activities of staff engaged in providing and eliciting information necessary to arrive at the appropriate determination and accurate computation of rental payments and examining resident eligibility and assigned rents; maintain contact with prospective residents, social agencies, regulatory agencies, landlords, the general public and staff; explain new or revised policies, procedures, laws or ordinances; train new employees and instruct subordinates in the interpretation of provisions and regulations; supervise maintenance of records and statistical information; and prepare periodic and special reports on case status, work performance, occupancy and other matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Management, Business Administration or a related field; and 2 years experience in property management with 1 year of public sector program management experience including governmental subsidies; Knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher Program & Ability to interpret government regulations, interact with the general public and provide services to the public.
Philadelphia residency will be required.
