The Philadelphia Housing Authority, a leading property management organization in public housing, is looking for qualified Resident Interns to work at the Philadelphia Asset and Property Management Corporation (PAPMC). In this position, the Resident Intern is required to be enrolled in any of PHA’s Moving To Employment (MTE) programs while dutifully seeking employment. Upon gaining alternate employment, the Resident Intern, will be excused from the internship program (and separated from employment with PAPMC). The successful resident is required to provide documentation of zero income and be eligible for a rent reduction as directed and approved by the Asset Manager of the resident’s site. Duties include routing telephone calls, taking messages, filing, greeting visitors on behalf of management, escorting visitors to their proper destinations, scheduling appointments, data entry and opening and date stamping incoming mail.
This is a temporary position to assist PAPMC Asset Managers in their Property Management offices, with various duties required within the site offices. Weekly hours should not exceed twenty (20) and employment should not exceed six (6) months. A Resident Intern must be a resident at one of the PAPMC sites. A Resident Intern is restricted from performing any duties, or acting in the capacity of a Resident Intern, at the site office where they reside. High School Diploma/GED is required.
Philadelphia residency required.
