(Part-Time - 20 Hours/ Week)
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for safe and sanitary preparation and storage of food for residents and staff of PHA' s senior programs. Responsibilities include general preparation and serving of catered meals; set up and clearing of tables for breakfast and lunch meals; cleaning of utensils and all other kitchen and eating equipment; maintain sanitary practices in all phases of food service; may order food and supplies necessary for maintaining current inventory and keep daily and monthly records of meal acceptance and participants using the services. Position will also perform related work as required.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must meet the minimum training and experience requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year experience in food service, social services, or senior care setting. Philadelphia residency required.
- Promotional Consideration: Applicant must have received an overall rating of "satisfactory" or better on regular or probationary performance evaluation; have an acceptable attendance record; may not have any disciplinary actions in their record for the twelve (12) month period preceding the above closing date.
