Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The Philadelphia Housing Authority, a leader in residential real estate development and property management, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides nursing and nursing related services to clients consistent with each comprehensive assessment and plan of care. Client’s care is provided according to the “Flow of Care” in a manner that meets the resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial needs and enables the individual to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of functioning. The CNA maintains a “homelike environment for clients, protects and promotes Clients Rights and assists the person to maintain independence and control to the greatest extent possible. The CNA reports directly to the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma education to demonstrate functional literacy. Successful completion of a state approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program or a nurse aide competency evaluation program approved by Pennsylvania.
- Certificate/Licenses: Acceptable verification of training and competency evaluation from State Nurse Aide Registry. No finding in the Registry concerning abuse, neglect, mistreatment of residents or misappropriation of clients’ property.
- Work Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a Certified Nursing Aide giving personal care to impaired individuals in a health care setting. Long-term care experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language as well as be able to interact effectively with individuals how are cognitively and/or physically impaired.
