The Philadelphia Housing Authority, America’s fourth largest public housing authority and a leader in property management, is seeking an HVAC Specialist.
This is journeyman work that installs, operates, and maintains a wide variety of utility and related mechanical equipment including boilers, circulating pumps, domestic hot water generators and other related boilder plant equipment. Also provides such services as domestic hot and cold water, heat and ventilating services for large public buildings, developments, and residential units.
Must possess knowledge of and experience with working on condenser fan motors, connecting refreigerant units and lines, and working on cooling towers and various associated equipment and will maintain service and repair on fans and assiciated piping and exhaust systems.
Requires High School Diploma or equivalency and a minimum of two (2) years HVAC experience. Also required are possession of valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License at time of application and during tenure of employment, valid grade "D" Stationary Fireman's License as issued by Philadelohia Department of Licenses and Inspections, a valid license to install and remove refrigerant gas and liquid, and a valid R stamp welding certificate. Philadelphia residency will be required.
